Love dauphin island
Unit was not ready at 4 pm check in. Took possession at nearly 6 pm. Had to wait on the beach with family and 2 dogs. Later in the week had a nonguest drive up with family and use the beach and our parking. No real concern by DIRE to do as anything. So why spend the $$$ if they do not think enforcing the signs/rules is not critical.
My family and I vacationed on Dauphin Island this past summer and rented thru Dauphin Island Real Estate. We arrived after hours and the staff from the office were very thoughtful by leaving the exterior lights on for our convenience. The following day, Andy met us at the property to help us unload, as I had recently broke my leg. The unit was in great condition upon our arrival. Dauphin Island is absolutely beautiful and away from the other crowded beaches found on the Gulf coast. The staff at Dauphin Island Real Estate made my family feel right at home. We have already booked for next year and it cannot come soon enough!
We rented Rainbows End and Beach Music. The same person owns both houses. Be aware these two houses are connected by the same deck with one set of stairs. These houses are in the water. You will experience wave motion in the houses. Mid week we had to move to a different house, the waves had removed the sand from the only set of steps, we had to evacuate over the rail. The real estate company moved us to a different house. They did a great job for us.
